NOTHING on your birth certificate says you deserve special
treatement i.e. life is NOT fair, get used to it.
You have "rights" ONLY if society survives. Society survives
ONLY of its members WORK.
The world doesn't care about your self-esteem. It will
expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you get to feel good
about yourself.
If you mess up, it's NOT someone elses fault. Don't whine
about your mistakes, learn from them.
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually
have to leave the coffee shop and go to work at real jobs.
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one
becaue THEY are learning how to work now.
It's what you learn after you think you know everything,
that counts.
If you think your teacher is tough, wait 'till you get a boss.
He doesn't have tenure and has to show a profit.
You will NOT make $60,000 a year just out of high school. You
won't be a vice president with a car phone, unless you earn both.
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but
life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades;
they'll give you as many times as you want to get the right answer.
In real life you work AND get it right or you don't work at that job
very long. You ONLY get paid for producing the desired results.
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your
grandparents had a different word for burger flipping; they called
it opportunity. Take it, until you learn to do better.
Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they
are now. They got that way from paying YOUR bills, cleaning YOUR
clothes, and listening to YOU talk about how cool you are. So, before
you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents generation,
try delousing your own room.
